John J. Roberts is co-founder of SMCCMC and manager of Mediation Services of Southern Maryland. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering, has over 30 years experience as a supervisor and general manager in both the public and private sectors, and has logged more than
2000 hours in over 750 cases over past 10 years. Dr. Roberts is a Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution and is on the Advisory Board of the Maryland Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office. He continues to volunteer his time and energy to the Center by providing strategic and developmental direction, acting as liaison with local, state and national agencies and organizations, and serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors.
As the Community Mediation Center Operations Manager, Lindsey Bradley oversees the day-to-day operations of our Center and acts as principle point of contact with the court system, service agencies, community groups and other referral sources. She coordinates our volunteer staff, which in turn facilitates stronger relationships within our community. Lindsey also looks for new opportunities to advance mediation services in support of diverse legal, business, and community populations across Southern Maryland. Lindsey joined the St. Mary's County CMC in 2005, bringing years of management experience along with her. Lindsey's enthusiasm and creativity led her to shape the St. Mary's County Mediator-Sheriff Alliance, a referral program that combines the talents and goals of mediators and officers.
